Water Purification System
The Burg standalone Water Purification System suitable for removing fine particles from water systems

General Information:
The Water Purification System is a multistage media filtration unit which targets fine water contaminants. It is typically used to filter water systems in fruit packhouses.
Water which is pumped to the unit will first pass through a coarse pre-filter to remove large organics. It is then pumped to a vessel packed with layers of small synthetic glass beads; as water passes through this vessel, contaminants are trapped and retained. This process is effective at filtering particles as small as 5μ, with increased filtering efficacy as particle size increases. Next, water passes through an activated carbon filter which eliminates odours.
Optional post filtering processes include a UV stage which uses Ultra Violet light to inactivate microorganisms by damaging DNA / RNA, as well as a hydrogen peroxide dosing unit for disinfection.
The Water Purification System is fully self-contained: with all equipment mounted on a galvanised steel frame, integrated pumps and pipework, and a PLC and HMI to control all processes.

Features
- Multiple water filtration technologies targeting different water contaminants
- Self-cleaning: the unit runs through a backwash sequence on a periodic basis to clear contaminants from the media vessel
- Three models available, with throughput capacities of 6, 15 and 30 m3/hr
- Unit can be shifted by forklift
