Stage 1 : Rotary Filter

Intelligent Filtration

The Rotary Filter reduces freshwater consumption in vegetable washing, food processing and industrial use by up to 95% depending on the application. Wyma recommends the use of the Rotary Filter in addition to our Micron Filter (stage 1) where soil is rocky or the need for higher flow rates is required, due to the filtration screen being harder wearing.

Filtration Process

Filtration is by a rotating drum where influent flows into the centre of the drum and passes through a perforated drum screen to capture the organic matter and other debris. 
The filtered material is augured out of the machine to waste, while the filtered water is discharged, or captured in a purpose-built tank for reuse.

• Removes water from waste which reduces bulk and weight of waste, lowering waste disposal costs.
• Flip-up door to give easy access to drum and internal structure for cleaning and maintenance.
• Chain-driven drum for maximum drive in wet conditions.
• Spray bar sprays water through the drum to dislodge waste and prevent buildup that may clog the holes.
• Multiple pump options available for recycling, cleaning filters, flume feeds, or rinsing infeed trays and cascading excess water to earlier stages in the line.
• Customisable spray nozzles to choose size, spraying angle and intensity to suit your needs. Easy maintenance.
• Built-in water catchment tray collects wastewater for reuse.
• Flights carry waste to the outfeed.

Stage 2 : Micron Filter

Versatile Integration

Connect to any part of your processing line - from site pits to washing systems. Works seamlessly with your Wet Hopper, Barrel Washer, Destoner, Vege-Polisher™, or Peeler. Filtered water is instantly ready for recycling back into your process.

Smart Self-Maintenance

Automated cleaning cycles and built-in protection against solids buildup keep your system running efficiently. Optional hot water rinsing is available for managing fats and organic compounds.

Superior Solid Extraction

When paired with our Micron Filter, the Mud Tower achieves an impressive 70-85% extraction rate of Total Suspended Solids (TSS). The system automatically processes dirty water from your site pits, sumps, or washing systems, delivering consistently clean results.
