High-capacity post-harvest solutions engineered for efficiency, gentle handling, and reliability in large-scale vegetable processing.
As vegetable processing volumes grow worldwide, efficient, reliable, and gentle handling systems are essential. We design, build, install and support complete post-harvest lines that bring together the industry’s most advanced, high-capacity machinery, engineered for performance, precision, and longevity.
Our full-line solutions for crops such as potatoes, carrots, onions, parsnips, and beetroot are modular and scalable to any required capacity, maintaining product quality while reducing labour and water use. Built from 304 stainless steel and equipped with smart automation, Wyma systems deliver total control of flow, dwell time, and wash intensity across every stage.
Handling large bins up to 5 tonnes, the Mega-Tip Rotary Bin Tipper ensures smooth, controlled transfer of produce into the line. Its closed-lid design prevents spillage and allows full rotation without crop loss. Custom-built for each application, it can be paired with automated feed and return conveyors, electric-over-hydraulic controls, and automated empty detection for high-throughput operations.
At the heart of many high-capacity wash lines, the Wyma Wet Hopper C-Series combines soak, pre-cleaning, buffer storage, and flow regulation in one durable system. Available in six models (5–12 metres long), it can handle up to 65 tonnes per hour. Features include air agitation to loosen soil, torque-sensing to protect elevator belts, and automated drain valves for debris removal, all within a low-maintenance, 304 stainless steel design.
The Wyma Barrel Washer gently removes soil, stones, and debris from root vegetables including potatoes, carrots, and beetroot. A rotating perforated drum and internal agitation bars provide thorough yet gentle cleaning, while variable-speed control and adjustable water levels allow operators to fine-tune wash intensity. Durable and proven worldwide, it remains a cornerstone of Wyma’s high-capacity washing systems.
For carrot processors targeting premium presentation quality, the Mega-Polisher is the world’s largest vegetable polishing system. Combining two Vege-Polisher™ units, it handles up to 20 tonnes per hour of carrots. With 16 brush rows, dual spray bars, and adjustable drum and brush speeds, it delivers a uniform, high-gloss finish that meets retail standards.
The Screen Sizer delivers high-speed mechanical grading using perforated rubber or steel screens. As produce travels across the vibrating bed, smaller items drop through precision holes while larger ones continue to the next section. With throughputs up to 30 tonnes per hour, and features like dual shakers and self-tensioning screens, it combines accuracy with gentle handling.
The Lift Roller Sizer provides precise diameter grading for 3–6 size grades at throughputs up to 31 tonnes per hour. Adjustable roller spacing, variable-speed control, and automated chain oiling ensure consistent performance, while stainless steel and food-grade plastics enhance durability and hygiene.
Wyma’s Octal Series conveyors deliver reliable transfer between stages of the line. With belt widths from 300 mm to 1200 mm and lengths up to 40 m, they handle 15–60 t/h depending on configuration. Options such as cleats, side skirts, scrapers, and gooseneck designs allow easy integration into any layout.
Wyma Flumes use controlled water flow to transport produce gently through stainless-steel channels, reducing mechanical handling and bruising. Standard models handle between 8 and 130 tonnes per hour and can include dewatering trays and flow dividers for multiple line destinations.
The Wyma Hydro-Cooler rapidly reduces produce temperature to preserve freshness and extend shelf life. Using chilled, recirculated water, it provides even, energy-efficient cooling with minimal dehydration. Available for loose produce or full bins, systems can be configured for immersion or shower-style cooling and built to suit any capacity or crop.
Each of these machines forms part of a unified Wyma line, engineered to balance throughput, water use, and gentle handling. A 25–35 t/h carrot line might include a Mega-Tip, Wet Hopper, Barrel Washer, Mega-Polisher, Screen Sizer, and Hydro-Cooler, while a 40 t/h potato line may integrate Lift Roller Sizers, Flumes, and Octal Conveyors.
Every component is synchronized via smart controls to maintain steady product flow, minimize surges, and optimize efficiency.

Wyma’s automation systems feature intuitive HMI panels, variable-speed drives, and real-time monitoring for precise process control. Wyma SmartLine™ centralizes management across multiple machines, with remote connectivity for diagnostics and updates.
Built for longevity and easy maintenance, Wyma systems feature modular components, centralized greasing, and accessible service points. With offices and partners across Europe, Australasia, the Americas, and Asia, Wyma provides local expertise backed by global experience, delivering efficient, gentle, and dependable solutions that help processors everywhere get the best from every harvest.
By partnering with Wyma, Lundstad Grønt boosted polishing capacity by 30% and cut water use by 75%, setting their line up for future growth.
