Celebrating Wyma’s impact in the German market and our commitment to strengthening trade between New Zealand and Europe.
We’re proud to announce that Wyma has been selected as a finalist in the 2025 German-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce (GNZCC) Awards, in the category of Outstanding Contribution to DE/NZ Trade.
This nomination highlights the remarkable growth of Wyma in the German market, where our tailored post-harvest solutions continue to make a real difference for vegetables processors. With a strong and growing presence, we’re supporting customers throughout Germany to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and protect produce quality. Our local EU team, based in Prague, has played a central role in this, taking care of our German customers from first contact through to aftersales and service.
One of the standout projects that contributed to this nomination was our partnership with Abenhardt, one of Germany’s largest carrot packhouses. This family-run operation processes over 70,000 tonnes of carrots per year and turned to Wyma for a major facility upgrade designed to handle up to 30 tonnes of carrots per hour.
This success demonstrates the impact of true bilateral trade and technology transfer—combining New Zealand’s engineering expertise with Germany’s world-leading agricultural production to create a new benchmark in post-harvest performance. And with a strong customer base and growing project pipeline, Wyma is well-positioned to support even more processors across the region.
The award winners will be announced at the GNZCC Gala Dinner on 1 May at the Hilton in Auckland, New Zealand. We’re honoured to be recognised for our contribution and proud to support the strong trade ties between Germany and New Zealand.
Vielen Dank – and wish us luck!
